I am a college teacher and my book, 'The Gifts of Hockey' deals with how hockey can teach positive 'life time' values for young readers. This is not so much a, 'he shoots he scores', kind of book. Rather it talks about respect through hockey and how hockey can bridge the gap between the generations.  The book also deals with bullying, poverty,  racism and how parents and teachers can make a positive contribution to young readers AND help them from 'not' dropping out of high school. The book is for readers between the ages of 7 to 14 years.
