Very well travelled former Modern Languages teacher.Took 20 years to write this well reviewed exciting novel just published in US

Background Information

Always wanted to write an exciting novel and over many years I have created a stunning novel, focusing on the latter tears of the Cold War and the frantic competition between the two Super Powers, America and Russia, to gain superiority in the nuclear arms race.

The travels which my wife and I made  many years ago, particularly in Central and South America, are woven into the plot in Part 3 of the story whereas Parts 1 and 2 are centered on the UK and France. A former World War Two American base on Dartmoor in the South West of England is where the Americans are storing their new incredibly destructive micro-missile and this area of the country is well known to me.

There is a desire to expose these powerful war lords and the feeling of fear and uncertainty  which they engendered was very strong in the anti- war movement which was very strong and vocal in the UK and in other countries at this dangerous period of our recent history.

As a language teacher of French and Spanish I also wanted to bring in an element of 'foreign' communication between some of those involved in the story to add an international flavour.

Birth Place
Liverpool,  England

I have an Honours Degree in Education and French from the University of Exeter in South West England and was also an Associate member of The Institute of Linguists in the UK.

Additional Information

Great reviews in my local press and am currently arranging an interview on local radio with a well known presenter. In 2009 I published in the UK a collection of short stories for young readers, some of them based in the area whwre I live. They have been very well received and I have spent many a happy hour or so in many local Primary Schools reading my stories for children aged from about 6 to 11 years old. The title of the book is " Four to Teen " ISBN 978-1-84944-008-0.

An exciting action packed first novel which you will find hard to put down, at least that's what the reviewers so far tell me.

A stunning story about 4 young people who steal an American micro-missile from a base in the UK and the consequences of their actions both in Europe and on the World scene.
