It is amazing how much of who we are is defined by who we were. I enjoy helping people remember who they were.

Background Information

Ersula Knox Odom is an author, essayist, workshop leader, FHC Mary McLeod Bethune Road Scholar, motivational speaker and prize winning life lyricist.
She shares the fond and treasured recollections of a country girl whose life was shaped and enriched by the wit, wisdom and love of her grandmother.  Journey down the dirt road where many of her life lessons were learned in a time that was simple and significant.

As a motivational speaker, Ms Odom has the uncommon ability to relate to multi-generational and multi-cultural audiences by sharing experiences from such areas as rural living, college life, fortune 500 corporate management, spirituality, being a mother, entrepreneurship, sales, and genealogy to publishing her first book.

Ms Odom's book, "At Sula's Feet" further enhances her ability to connect by providing a means of addressing complex issues in lighthearted and simple terms.

She is a graduate of Effingham County High School, Springfield Ga  and Eckerd College, St Petersburg FL. Ersula is a business owner, former board member of the Association of Personal Historians, former manager with GTE Data Serivices, the Smart/Pelote family historian, member of  St John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, FL Writers Assoc,  Afro-American Historical and Genealogy Society, and is an ATM –Toastmaster.
