So how did I come up with this dark tale?  Truthfully, I think the many different aspects of the story have always been with me, in pieces mostly.  One day I simply found a way to put the pieces together. 

When I was developing the main character, I tried to incorporate a bit of every hero I had as a boy and even now, from spiritual warriors of the past, to the many pop-culture icons we have today.  What came from that endeavor was the Dark Angel, an extension of myself and also what every boy or kid at heart hopes to be - a true hero.  

In closing, I've always believed the wonders of God can be found almost anywhere, especially if you know where to look, whether it's in the past, the present or the distant future.  My story, Fire of God, is an expression of that belief and much more.
