Butane MacLane is the Real Deal
Butane MacLane is a Blue Rocker, Poet, Screenwriter and published author of many short stories. He is the Real Deal. Originally from Parts Unknown, he now resides on the wrong side of an Ozark Mountain called Rattlesnake Hill with his axes and his dog, JoJo. At the age of five, Butane taught himself to play the piano after dreaming about "My Darlin' Clementine", a woman he'd never met. When Elvis came to television, he used a fireplace broom for a guitar until his fingers blistered. Elvis was cool, but the King didn't quite cut it for MacLane. It was the Architect that fired Butane's soul, the Originator, the Emancipator his own self, Mr. Little Richard Penniman.
Punk kid Butane attended the Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals, especially the daytime workshops. He had one-on-one time with many of the greats: John Lee Hooker, Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis, and two white boys: John Hammond, Jr. and the jester Bobby Dylan.
One event at Newport stands out - the rainy day he met Mr. Howlin' Wolf. When he saw Mr. WolfMan perform, Butane nearly wet his pants with excitement and fear. Mostly fear.
So, where has Butane been all these years? Hiding. Hiding, waiting, practicing, patient, observing, ready for the right moment.
THE TIME IS NOW
