An International award-winning journalist whose enthusiasm draws on public accountability. Born, bred and schooled in Kenya, East Africa, his works as a journalist spring from the inspirations of his youthful experiences growing up in this wonderful part of the world.

Background Information

I'm a widely published and award-winning journalist also a poet. I'm fascinated by how words can scare the hell out of the mightiest and the freedom to disseminate information, in my view, is the best thing that happened to humanity. A child of the 80s, I've always wished I was born much earlier - perhaps, at a time when the world was grappling with ideologies; of communism at war with capitalism. That was never to be and in the contemporary world, there seem to be a literary desert and only creative minds and quick dazzling pens can rise to the occasion.

If I was a writer today without the influence of my mother, that would have been by default. At beginning school, my mother a beautiful woman gifted with the art and craft of English emphasized the need to lend some attention to the Queen's language. She believed that the power to express one's self in this universal language would be a triumph in all spheres of life. I went for it. We became fond friends and she would stay up late to help me with my readings, most of the time, even giving invaluable input to my home-work. I grew up to like to question things and tell stories - those of all sorts of events; even cat fights!
