I have a Master's degree in Computer Science and write software for a living. However, I love writing and have been greatly influenced by Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I love the humor that can be found practically in every line of any P. G. Woodhouse story.
I love philosophy and read everything from Aristotle and Socrates to Kant and Hume.
I love physics, particularly Quantun Mechanics, and read everything from particle physics to cosmology. If only every science books were written as Isaac Asimov wrote them....
I have the highest admiration for Abraham Lincoln and his oratory and writing skills, and love John Lennon's poetic and musical genius.
Last but not he least, I count Bill Watterson and Charles M Schulz, the creators of Calvin and Hobbes and Charlie Brown comics respectively, to be among the greatest comic and creative geniuses that ever lived. OK, add Goscinny and Uderzo as well as Herge, the creators of Asterix and Tintin comics respectively, to that venerable list.
A great deal of influence from all these notable individuals mentioned above will be plainly and clearly visible in my writings. Enjoy!
