I grew up in the foothills of Himalayas in eastern Nepal. The rugged hills were the inspiration for me and so were the scarcely available books. But I and my book loving friends had to borrow books from people who visited our place, an idyllic hamlet surrounded by hills. There neither was a library nor a book shop. But as saying goes, where there's a will, there's a way.
I arrived in Kathmandu, the capital in a wintry day in 1990. That changed my life forever. I studied, worked here, travelled abroad (to UAE and US) where I worked and was trained, respectively.
Now, I am a Kathmandu based full time journalist and a writer. I have interest in wide range of topics from politics to art and culture. I contribute pieces to publications in Nepal and in US and UK.
