There is nothing more powerful than love.
Even though, it burns the heart with its tormenting pain.
Those who ascend from this pain become true lovers,
even their shadows become sacred. By Sukhdarshan Dhaliwal..
I have a true passion for writing. I would like to continue to develop creativity to write poetry in English and Punjabi.

Sukhdarshan Dhaliwal started writing Punjabi poetry in the mid-eighties. He has published three books of Punjabi poetry. Punjabi is the state language of Punjab (India). Some of his Punjabi Ghazals are composed and sung by a famous singer Jagjit Singh Zirvi under the "Roo-B-Roo" (Face to Face) Cassette/CD.
In December, 2005 he started thinking about English Ghazals. Besides writing, Sukhdarshan loves to listen to Urdu/Hindi Ghazals. His first published English Ghazals are in the August issue of The Ghazal Page (www.ghazalpage.net). He writes under the pen name of "Darshan."
Sukhdarshan Dhaliwal has published a collection of his ghazals. The collection, Ghazals at Twilight: Poetry from the Heart. This book contains 51 well-honed Ghazals (poems) in English.
