Elvio Ciferri has published the following books:
"Editti e notificazioni di mons. giovanni Muzi vescovo di Città di Castello(1825-1849)", Città di Castello 1989;
"Luigi Piccardini e il suo tempo", Città di Castello 1993;
"Tifernati Illustri" (first volume), Città di Castello 2000;
"Tifernati Illustri" (second volume), Città di Castello 2001;
"Tifernati Illustri (third volume), Città di Castello 2003, "Serafina Brunelli, vita visioni e profezie della mistica di Montone", Perugia 2007.
He has written many leading articles (on the history's subject) for magazines like: "L’Altrapagina", "Pagine Altotiberine", "Analecta Augustiniana", "Studi Montefeltrani", "Nuovi Studi Fanesi", "Italia Francescana", "Spoletium", "Benedictina", "Analecta Bollandiana", "Studia Monastica", "Memoria Storica", "Annales Oratorii", "Bollettino Storico della Città di Foligno" and he has collaborated with the "Bibliotheca Sanctorum", the greatest dictionary of the Saints and with the "Encyclopedia of the Romantic Era".
He is professor of history and italian literature in the Leopoldo and Alice Franchetti institute of Città di Castello.
