If you want to communicate with a child, let an animal tell your story. I have learned that the one thing kids and animals have in common, they both know how to forgive.

Being raised on a traditional working farm I learned from an early age that I had a special connection with animals and I knew that one day I would have to tell their stories. I have devoted most of my life to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned, abused and unwanted dogs and horses. In my Book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch", a little dog named Mia narrates telling the reader about herself and her brothers and sisters and their long journey to find happiness at the Black Dog Ranch. I wanted to tell my stories to children because like the animals, children still beleive in hope and second chances. My motivation is that one day my book will make a difference in the life of a child and their dog.
