AS A RETIRED NURSE'S ASSISTANT, WHO IS DIVORCED AND A MOTHER OF 4, GRANDMOTHER OF 11 AND GREATGRANDMOTHER OF 4, I HAVE EXPERIENCED A GREAT DEAL IN THIS WORLD.
SEEMS THAT I HAVE BEEN WRITING ALL MY LIFE BUT IT'S JUST IN THE LAST 25 YEARS OR SO THAT I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT THE BEAUTIFUL WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT GOD WAS GIVING ME, WAS NOT ONLY FOR ME BUT FOR OTHERS AS WELL. THUS, I HAVE ACCEPTED THE CALL TO BECOME AN INSTRUMENT OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. I WAS A SINNER BEFORE AND I STILL AM A SINNER. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NOW AND BEFORE IS THAT I AM NOW AWARE OF GOD'S DEEP CARING FOR ME AND I STRIVE TO BE AS GOOD A FRIEND TO HIM AS HE IS TO ME...THOUGH I NEVER GET THERE. I NOW KNOW THAT EACH AND EVERY DAY, I REQUIRE THE PRECIOUS GIFTS OF 'MERCY' AND 'GRACE' IN ORDER TO SURVIVE. I LOVE THE LORD AND AM SO GLAD THAT ON CALVARY HE PROVED THE EXTENT OF HIS WONDERFUL LOVE FOR ME.
I CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE AN UNIQUE CHRISTIAN POET IN THAT I DON'T PULL ANY PUNCHES. I KNOW I AM NOT WHERE I SHOULD BE IN JESUS CHRIST AND WILL PROBABLY NEVER GET THERE UNTIL I AM SAFE IN HIS BLESSED ARMS....BUT, AS I SAID, I DO TRY. AND THIS IS MY FLAIR....MY POET'S 'TONE' ...IF YOU WILL. WE DO ALL FALL DOWN, SOME MORE OFTEN THAN OTHERS BUT, WE CAN GET BACK UP. JESUS IS THERE TO HELP US, TO FORGIVE US AND GO ON WITH US AS WE 'JOURNEY' HOMEWARD.
I WAS PREVIOUSLY A MEMBER OF POETS.COM THAT RECENTLY CLOSED DUE TO FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES. WE WERE A GREAT COMMUNITY OF POETS AND WRITERS THAT COMMUNICATED WITH ONE ANOTHER AND LOOKED FORWARD TO REVIEWING EACH OTHERS WORK. EVERY POET'S UNIQUE STYLE WAS APPRECIATED AND ENJOYED. I AM THANKFUL FOR MY MEMBERSHIP THERE AND MY LEARNING EXPERIENCE THAT I WAS AFFORDED OVER THE YEARS. I HAVE NEVER BEEN A MEMBER OF ANY OTHER POETS SITE WHERE THE INTERACTION BETWEEN ITS MEMBERS WAS SO WONDERFUL AND PERSONABLE - I MISS POETS.COM VERY MUCH.
I READ ALL TYPES OF POETRY AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T GET TOO 'EXPLICIT'....SEXUALLY OR PROFANE. I SEE THAT THERE IS A WIDE CHOICE OF GENRES ON THIS SITE AND I AM GLAD ABOUT THAT.
I HOPE TO BE A VOICE OF ENCOURAGEMENT TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE LED TO READ 'HIS INSPIRATIONS', THAT HE IMPARTS TO ME. ALSO, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW AND ENJOYING THE WRITING OF ALLTHE OTHER WONDERFUL POETS AND AUTHORS THAT ARE MEMBERS OF THIS SITE.
