I began to write short stories at a very young age. And usually, they were horror stories. I remember as far back as the 1st grade we would be given writing assignments and I would be excited while the rest of the class was complaining. LOL
Horror movies have always been a major influence on my writing. My first trip to the theater was at the tender age of 5. The movie I watched? The original Amityville Horror. I was hooked - and I've never looked back.
Edgar Allen Poe is in my opinion the greatest writer ever. If only I were able to sit down and have a conversation with him! Can you imagine what all went on in his head?
In my writing I like to remind everyone that bad things are out there in the world. Not because I want to be mean or pessimistic, but to warn everyone to be careful about the decisions that they make. Because when we make the wrong decisions, evil will take every advantage it can to try to get the best of us.
