A Brief Biography of Michel Foster
I grew up in Nassau County, Long Island, N.Y., and in the suburbs of Maryland just outside Washington, D.C.
My teachers in New York and Maryland struggled to show me the proper path toward the light. Sometimes, that light appeared (at least to me) to be yellow and blinking.
A few of my literary heroes have included the artists and writers of Mad Magazine, the Bible, Shakespeare, Cole Porter, Ogden Nash, and Erma Bombeck.
Publications, that I wish I had written include Arrowsmith, Othello, and Casey At the Bat.
I have never won the Pulitzer Prize in literature; I am not to be confused with America’s Poet Laureate; and I am right-handed.
I truly believe that laughter is one of our better remedies.
