I am experienced coach working in IT and management. I have a strong interest in pragmatic management methods built up over years of working in different and challenging environments - if it works I am interested in finding out why, and my personal motto is "never stop learning!".
I am specifically interested in the effects of team dynamics on quality and the effect of well formed teams on productivity.
My literary influences are many and varied as I read extensively. For leisure I read fiction and if someone recommends a book I usually give it a go. Professionally I always have at least three books on the go: technical, management, history, psychology, science or whatever looks interesting and educational.
My book "The Trousers of Reality" reflects all these interests and allows me to extend my coaching insights to a greater audience.
Personal Information: I grew up in Wexford, Ireland. My mother is artist and writer Vonnie Banville Evans and my father, Jim Evans, was an artisan printer. My brother John has published two novels so far and my brother Jamie is a composer. My uncles Vincent and John Banville are both award winning authors.
I have a wife I adore and two children I worship.
I have recently renovated a 200 year cottage in the French countryside which meant learning carpentry, masonry, plumbing and roofing in the process.
I am based in the UK but I spend all my free time in France.
I have a website at www.trousersofreality.com and a communications blog at www.oakdust.com
