Dr. Larry F. Ross, Sr. was born in Chicago, Illinois. As a young man, Dr. Ross entered the United States Army and served for 20 years before retiring. He continues his public service today, currently serving as the Director, Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, Defense Contract Management Agency, U.S. Dept. of Defense.

I am involved in a variety of projects in that I am working on another book and several articles dealing with self-leadership and God. I teach sociology, homeland security & emergency management, and organizational leadership courses. I enjoy the ministry and God and my family are the center of my life.
My civilian career centers on civil rights (equal opportunity, equal employment opportunity, and diversity management). I am also a retired army officer.
