Background Information

Educated in the Engineering School at The University of Washington, then side trips to the Army's Ranger and Airborne Schools... then a bit of time (1967&68) in Vietnam's war as a grunt with the storied 173rd Airborne Brigade, I found sanctuary in construction and writing.

My life has been influenced by "The Major" who landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. My father was one of Field Marshal Montgomery's personal liaison officers.

My writing of Digger Dogface Brownjob Grunt was influenced by the brothers Wallace and Charles Kuralt.

Digger Dogface... has won three national awards with USA Book News and ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards... and Digger... won the Grand Prize in The International Book Awards for Best Fiction Book of 2010...

Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. An MBA in Finance as well
as a Doctoral student in Finance.

Digger Dogface... is heralded as a self-help primer for combat veterans and for those being deployed to combat... it's a people story meant to help the families of veterans. Working with Peace Trees Vietnam, the Red Cross and Voices to help civilians understand the veteran.
