Born and raised among the mountains of Virginia, I listened to the oral traditions of storytellers as a child, and now try to incorporate that straight forward, easy to read style into my work. I began writing rhyming verse as a teenager and later worked a story format into that form of poetry. Eventually, I abandoned the rhymes for first person storytelling, and wrote my first short story at 16. thirty years later I got my first taste of publishing, when some poems were selected for a web sold anthology to benefit domestic violence awareness, and later other poems were picked up and published by The American Tolkien Soceity. This, in turn, led to the publishing of my first book, "Resurrection Diaries", a ghostly tale of suspense and mystery surrounding a young married man who takes a job at a small town church that seems to be haunted. I love ghost stories, and the phenomena of hauntings, as well as authors such as Robert R. McCammon, Ambrose Bierce, Poe, Stephen King, and others are my influences in the realm of writing. I am currently working on a new novel, which I hope to preview on the web soon. I currently reside in Virginia with my wife Heather, and 2 cats.
