I graduated from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan with a B.A. in Communications, and from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary with an MDIv. I served as the Assistant Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan, and as Pastor of First Baptist Church in Oglesby, Illinois. I also taught junior high and high school classes at LaSalle-Peru Christian School in LaSalle, Illinois and at Maranatha Christian School in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, I taught freshmen classes at Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby, Illinois.
I began writing while a child in Windsor,Ontario, Canada. I "published" a hand-written newspaper for my family, and later graduated to a printed version when I came into possession of a rubber-type printing press. The gift of a typewriter as a teenager was the ultimate in tools to assist my writing.
A high school English teacher was the first to encourage my desire to write. I joined the staff of the high school newspaper and served as editor until my graduation.
From childhood I have been a reader. I still read about four or five books a month, mostly novels and biographies. I am not certain I can identify one particular author who has influenced me more than others; I get encouragement to write from just about every author I read.
My passion to write remains alive and strong even though I am now retired from active ministry. My desire is to write inspirational books that encourage people to consider the claims of Jesus Christ.
