I don't remember a moment in my life when I didn't write; I can't remember a moment in my life when I didn't read, and there is not one book or writer who made a particular impression on me - all books (my choices having always been exceedingly eclectic) during all stages of my life had a message, even if it simply was what not to do and how not to do it.
I confess to having trashed one book, once, and felt very guilty. All books have a place on my shelves because someone, somewhere, at some time took the trouble to write it, with enthusiasm and hope.
If I ever had to choose just one book for that lonely island to which they ban me, I'd have to take Ray Bradbury's MARTIAN CHRONICLES (or, if they allow it, all his works) and, already becoming greedy, I'd probably take some Iain (with or without M.) Banks too as well as a dose of Thomas Pynchon.
Words grow in silence, that's why I began only fairly recently to take part in competitions and the "market place".

My novel COMING UP FOR AIR was published in the UK in 2010 by Black Leaf Publishing, its (stand-alone) sequel, THE TELLING, was published in 2011 by the same company. Both novels are available in all good online bookstores. In Amazon also in the Kindle version.
A collection of poems was also published in 2011 and is available in Amazon.
