NEW BOOKS - NEW BOOKS- NEW BOOKs for the New Year. Check out my new releases

Background Information

My First book ALL BAGGED UP was born from the fact that I had suffered from Ulcerative Colitis for 10 years. I was so ill that I had to have a permanent ileostomy and then had the psychological issues of living with a stoma.

I therefore decided to write my account in order to help the many sufferers throughout the world realise that there is life after a stoma has been formed. This title is underpinned by my Christian faith that helped me cope.

From thereon, I have written three children's novels: THE WISHING BOOK, THE WISHING BOOK  2 - RETURN TO MARS and THE WISHING BOOK 3 - EXTERMINATION. These were birthed by the fact that, as a child I had been fascinated by space travel. Having a vivid imagination I used to dream of what it would be like to visit Planet Mars. Would there be Martians? Would there be creatures etc. These titles capture my imagination and are pure fantasy and adventure. More in the series are planned and my dream is that they will capture the hearts of children who come across them.

Birth Place
Nottingham,  United Kingdom

The Wishing Book
John Carter aged 9, finds a small book under some floorboards in his bedroom. He learns that this is a special book, written by a man 69 years earlier, that has powers to grant wishes.Following a few pranks to try the book out, John and his sister and friends decide to wish for a visit to Planet Mars. This is where the action picks up as the Chief Highness of Mars wants the book for himself so that he can rule the universe. With many twists and thrills the children are in danger and fear they will never be able to return to Earth. This is an edge of the seat book that will keep the reader gripped until the end of the book.

The Wishing Book 2 - Return to Mars
The sequel to The Wishing book. Much to their dismay, the children find themselves back on Planet Mars, together with the author of their book, Pedro Armaz. Zelmut, the Chief Highness of Mars, will stop at nothing to obtain the book for his own selfish reasons. Danger and fear follow the children around and with panic they find that they have lost the book and all hope of once again returning home. Twists, adventure, disloyalty and monsters keep the children on their toes. There must be a way to get the book back and escape. However, the odds are stacked against them. This is a rollercoaster read so hold on tight

All Bagged Up
This is the author's story of a 10 year battle against the dibilitating disease, Ulcerative Colitis and subsequent surgery to have an ileostomy. Psychological battles have to be faced as he tries to survive day to day life knowing he will have to have a stoma for life. His Christian faith is the mainstay of this battle and the author gives many tips and advice on how a person can live, quite comfortably in this situation. The story is both inspirational and factual and discusses medications, side effects and the depression and fear that can so easily take hold. This is a must read for anyone with a bowel condition including UC or Crohn's Disese.

The Mystery of Bincombe Towers
Iris and Ted Johnson, travel down to Weymouth with their 4 children, Teresa (14), twins (13) Kenny and Sam and 10-year old Jenny. They are down for a 6-week summer holiday, something they try to do each year. They have rented a cottage some 5 miles outside of Weymouth, in a village called Bincombe. From there they expect to have a restful holiday and visit some of Dorset’s beautiful landmarks. On settling in, the children discover an old mansion type house close by and the boys are convinced it holds some type of mystery and that perhaps smugglers may use this to stash their booty. On closer inspection, which includes going the through the gardens and into the house, they find that the house does hold a mystery – in the form of a 14- year old African Prince called Agdobi Abong’o. At first the children think that two men who are within the house, Benson and Magdafola, have kidnapped him. They set out to try and rescue Agdobi and in their endeavours, discover that the house has a tunnel that leads from the cellar of the house, down to the sea. They also discover that Benson and Magdafola are in fact looking after Agdobi, whose father is the Chief of a Tribe back in Tawtona, in Central Africa and certain people who do not wish for Agdobi to succeed his father are trying to kill him. From there-on the adventure begins and the children find themselves helping Agdobi escape after they discover two mystery men in a white car, who appear to be looking for Agdobi. The adventure leads them on a rowing boat escape to nearby Portland and then, with Special Branch attempting to protect Agdobi and rescue the other children, the story comes to a thrilling climax. The Mystery of Bincombe Towers is good clean fun keeping the reader sitting on the edge of their seat.
