Writing is my biggest passion. I love expressing myself and through poetry mostly. My biggest artistic influences are Terry Gilliam, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) , Lewis Carrol, Aldous Huxley, M.C escher, Salvador Dali, Edouard Manet, William Burroughs, Tim Burton, William Blake, Dennis Potter and Edgar Poe. My style varies as much as my subject matter. I don't follow any rules as far as I can see, I just write what I feel inside with honesty and vigour. I like to write about the things I see around me and the way the things that surround me affect my thinking, actions and feelings. Sometimes its a way to get things off my chest in an expression of gratitude, desire, hope, despair, love and even revenge. Be it a rant or a celebration it charts my personal intellectual and emotional evolution. I prefer to write down what I think without too much editing as I try not to censor thoughts too much ( that's the Burroughs influence kicking in I guess ) This is the first time I have ever shown my work in an open arena and joined authorsden to see if I am any good as a poet or if I am simply average. It matters not really if anyone likes my work as it is primarily thoughts on paper but if anyone does get anything from it or even if anyone simply appreciates my style then I will continue putting it out there. If its trash, I will without doubt carry on writing it down but will probably keep it all in a big  chest under the stairs ... at least it will be off mine
