I read Lady Chatterly's Lover as a young woman, and to me that was the quintessential romance. I became a voracious reader of romance novels, along with espionage, thriller, and biographies. After enjoying an acting career of moderate success, enough to make a living, I decided to simply start writing.
My first romance, Autumn Desire, was loosely based on my mother's experience when she returned to college after years as a wife and mother. The Wild Rose Press published it in paperback in June 2010 in their Last Rose of Summer line, and it has enjoyed superlative reviews.
Velvet and Topaz, my second novel, pits an American social activist against the CEO of a demolition company displacing poor people in London's East End. This romance was published by Freya's Bower in January 2011 in electronic format..
Passion's Design follows a young fashion designer whose job is to create a perfect wedding for a wealthy South American familly -- not to fall in love with the groom, an aristocrat who holds all things Americn in contempt, especially American women. It was published by Pink Petal Books in February of 2011.
I have turned all three novels into screenplays, and I'm in the process of drumming up funds to produce them for cable television or straight to video release.
I am a fan of Janet Daily, Johanna Lindsey, Amanda Quick, and Kathleen Woodiwiss, and my bookshelf is filled with their ravishing works. I think these women are definitive romance writers.
