Background Information

Lisa was born and raised in Nottingham, UK and moved to London to do a degree in Accounting with Marketing. Following on from that she did a Masters at City Univeristy and in the same month of graduation, aged 23, Lisa formed Boogles Ltd, with £150 (Her mum invested £50, and Lisa used £100 from her overdraft). Boogles Ltd are primarily a bookkeeping service, although they also have bookkeeping training courses, they have a bookkeeping franchise division, and they also have a maths game for children.

Boogles, is the name of the calculator and the books feature boogles, who does bookkeeping for various business owners - including self employed consultants, business owners, women in business and business partners.

Lisa won Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Precious Online) in Nov 07; Boogles won Enterprising Business Awards in Feb 08; Lisa was shortlisted for 4 awards in 2009 - including East Midlands Business Woman of the Year, Women on their Way and was Runner Up for Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award with Enterprising Women. Boogles Ltd was shortlisted in May 09 for South London Business Awards and in Nov 09 (final 5 out of 14,500 nominations) for The Lucas Awards - Best Bookkeeping Practice.
