Melody F. Whitaker was born on March 21, in a small town known as Cass City, Michigan. Her father lost his job and her home was reduced to nothing more then a tent located on a Michigan campground. Each day she would anxiously rush from school to her campsite where she would feed a family of geese before, she would sit down and have dinner at the picnic table. When the time came to move, her parents and two brothers were all loaded up in a station wagon. Then a trailer was hitched to the car, with all of their possessions as they headed out west where she was relocated to Phoenix, AZ.
Her passion for writing began at an early age of seven when her short story was selected in a competition for her entire school district, where she was awarded as one of the top two contestants. It wasn’t until recently that she decided to pursue her career as an author beginning with her début novel (The Unknown Identities.)
She attributes much of her strength and determination towards her success from the obstacles and challenges that she has experienced in life. The characters with in her stories reflect many of the same qualities as they struggle with adversity in their fictional world.
In her free time she enjoys reading, swimming, watching movies and playing board games with her husband.
