Two new authors from two different walks of life, many differences and many similarities; Marjorie a lifelong native of Southwestern Indiana discovered that writing was a hidden passion that she has possessed and wishes to share happiness and pleasure with all walks of life. Becky is your basic Southern Bell from the Texas Panhandle. She claims her writing is blessed with the help of her friend the Muse. Together they have compiled a group of poems that reach out to the souls of many people. If you want raw emotion, challenged, inspired, and touched then this site would be a piece that would be a recommended addition to your online literary collection to enjoy and share with your family and friends. As of now we do not have a tangible copy of this collection but we are in the process.

Life is what you make it. I once slaved forty hours plus with not a stroke of happiness. I paid my bills. I lived my life. Or at least that is what I thought I was doing.
Have you ever listened to the leaves rustle before an evening thunderstorm? How about taken time to soak up some warm afternoon sunrays during a lunch break? Did you realize that yes there are still some things in life that are free? Things such as water from a bubbling brook, or a gust of fresh air in your face in a beautiful nature setting, these are still free for both you and I. A little girl I know well whom I must add has been a true inspiration to me and has helped me to search my soul and share my feelings with others through poetry, once said with little innocent hands waving freely in front of her, “I’m trying to catch the wind Ba!” That little girl is my niece, and her Ba is my loving mother. My mother shared that moment with me and it has made an impact on my life since. Think about it… Catching the wind! Hugging a relative! Fulfilling a goal or even a destiny! Little one’s can say the most inspiring things. It is really miraculous what taking just a moment away from the everyday hustle bustle of life and just chasing the wind can do for one’s soul. ~Marjorie Y. Cutsinger
Becky L. Hooten I'm nothing more than a simple country girl, no sugar coating, nothing fancy. I stand up for my beliefs, but I also don't expect everyone to agree just because I said so. Life has taught me many many lessons the most important being take time to smell the roses. Different things can come into your life presenting both obstacles and rewards. The one thing I always try to remember is if you let the little things weigh you down, you miss all the good stuff. Get what you need to done, but also take the time to look at the world around you. Play a game of ball with your kids, plant a flower and watch it grow, hum that silly little song stuck in your head, just make sure you're not working so hard you deny yourself the joys of life. ~Becky L. Hooten
