I am the author of two self-help book, "I'm Not Perfect And It's Okay" and "Growing Up and Liking It".
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Pyschology as well as teacher certification in Manitoba, Canada. I actually started to write my first book about twenty-five years ago when I went through a serious bout of depression. I soon realized that due to my lack of experience I could not complete this project. It was necessary for me to discover and develop better life coping skills for myself before I could share my ideas with my readers.
I revisited this dream of mine a couple of years ago at the inspiration of one of my adult daughters. In essence, my books are written in retrospect because now I can look back and explain the tools I used to better enhance my life. I found that after so many years, I could look at my life more objectively rather than emotionally, which gave me the desire and the courage to share my findings.
My goal has always been to help others and I have made every effort to address the subject with as much light heartedness as possible. I do this by using humor, quotes, anecdotes and real life stories.
