I am a poet, freelance writer and a really good dancer. I like to write about everything. You can pay me to write about anything.

Background Information

Here is a little TMI about myself:

I just graduated last December from Indiana University--Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI), with a B.A. in English, Creative Writing. Before that, I worked in construction, owning my own kitchen and bath remodeling business. At (the same) times, I worked at bookstores and coffee shops in order to get health insurance for my family. Right now I am severely underemployed and living off my wife. What better time to start writing a book? She is an elementary school music teacher and I am helping her start a business teaching private students piano, voice and guitar. (She will be looking to hire other music teachers in Indianapolis soon.) We also have two children, a four year old who hangs out with me all day long and a kindergartner who reads at a first grade level--maybe even better than that by now.

I also write for IndyConcerts.com where I work for free concert tickets (very fun but not very lucrative). Examiner.com "hired" me to write as their "Indianapolis Budget Wine Examiner." Now, how the heck am I supposed to make a dime with such a narrow small-market subject? WFYI--Indianapolis Public Broadcasting (NPR/PBS) hired me as an unpaid communications intern. It's a great experience that I would do forever if it made me money. For two years I was managing editor of IUPUI's literature and arts magazine, GENESIS.

What can I say? I like to get busy. But am I destined to be a poor writer forever?

That's enough for now. Any questions?

Birth Place
Indianapolis, IN United States
Accomplishments

I can ride a two wheel bicycle.

Additional Information

If you are an Indianapolis writer, we should start an organization--hell, let's start a movement!
