I started my writing career as a journalist, writing hard news stories, features and humorous essays. I wrote and published short stories in the mystery, confession, humor, horror and religious markets. I had to give up my writing career for 10 years while I helped my husband establish our business. Once we became a success, I worked part-time and started writing novels. To date, I have published three humorous mysteries, a romantic suspense novel, a straight mystery, an erotic paranormal romantic suspense novella and a non-fiction book about my adventures as a volunteer at the San Diego Sheriff's Department. I currently teach a monthly writing workshop at a local library and mentor several writers. I truly enjoy helping other writers achieve their dream of publication. I have belonged to RWA for over 10 years.
