A self-taught poet who started writing when he started. In 2009 he began reciting his poetry at Vancouver's Poetry Slam, where he's been happily ruining it for everyone ever since.

Background Information

During a time of intense change in his life and sense of being, Bolko Rawicz rediscovered his love of writing and an appreciation of the word. Having found his voice in poetry, he then embarked on a series of poems. Several years later, in 2009, he began reciting his poetry Vancouver's Poetry Slam. In the midst of this germinated the idea of creating a book of his work, culminating in the publication of "a voice regained" later that year.

Born in Poland, Bolko Rawicz emigrated to Canada in 1982. He currently lives in Vancouver.
