I'm a life-time West Babylon resident with a small, unfinished life's work of writing to my name. I wrote lyrics for my high school metal band's music years after some red flags arose to spark the idea of taking up writing seriously. I took up writing much more seriously in 1991 after reading "Long Live Rock: Be It Dead Or Alive", a commentary byformer Buck 3.80 frontman Scott Daly, and it led me to write freelance compositions and songs. My socio-political leaning motivated my editorial work as does my sense of artistic expression to my poetry, becoming the editorialist and distribution manager for the then-SUNY Farmingdale Rambler.
After years of good writing, some published works and no successful writing career, I went on to pursue a career in horticulture. Graduating with my second degree, I continued on to become a New York State Certificatied Nursery and Landscape Professional. The Fall/Winter 2008 financial debacle lost me my nursery job and left me unemployed for over a year. In that time, I returned to writing through the Long Island Poetry Collective, The Performance Poets Association, North Sea Poetry Scene, Poets In Nassau, The Huntington Cafe, The Bards Initiative, and Northport Arts Council for which I am affiliated and still write poetry with. Employed as a merchandising vendor, I still pursue poetic endeavors with what motivations behind my writing there are, mostly stemming from my own personal desire to be expressive in presenting such a perception. My first book "Netherworld Befalls", was published in May 2012 and has been read by many great Paumanok poets and writers . My second book, "Blue Moon Complexicon" is due to be released in 2013. It is a compilation of rarely used words of the English langauge and their definitions. My third book, a second poetry book called "Watsonthology", is still under construction.
