Yolanda Gaston was born and raised in Houston TX. She first discovered her love for books at an early age. Having always been an avid reader, she naturally crossed into writing. She first wrote poetry, which is still her greatest love. Later, she found that penning short stories proved to be another strong interest. If you asked her what her favorite genre is next to poetry, she’d quickly tell you it’s Christian fiction. It was the interest in reading Christian fiction books (and the lack of great books in the genre) that prompted her to write her own stories.
“As long as I write, my stories will always have a happy ending. After all, that’s the basis of the foundation of Christianity - faith. You can’t have faith without thinking that you too will have a happy ending.”
Yolanda currently lives in Virginia with her husband and their three children. It is there that she’s also established her ministry.
“God has called me to do many things, but first and foremost I’ve been called to help His people. While I love to write, I’ve realized ministry is always first. Writing has not only become a fun way to share my feelings, testimonies and advice with others, but it’s been great seeing how it meshes so well within the ministry. Everything flows so well together. I know that this is my destiny; this was meant to be.”
