The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiousity. ---Dorothy Parker

Background Information

My hobbies include ingesting huge quantities of chocolate and drawing smiley faces in the dust accumulated on my furniture. I've been accused of plant homicide (you mean you have to water those green thingies?) and I've been named Queen of Housework Procrastination. In-between the duties of my fantastically interesting life (yawn), I write novels and short stories and promote, promote, promote.

Birth Place
Tulsa, OK US

I am a contest junkie. It all started in high school when I took Third Place for an essay contest about patriotism. Soon after, I won a coveted spot in Oklahoma State University's anthology, Spokes of a Wheel, with a short poem called "My Neighbor."

I've garnered recognition for my novels, short stories, and articles from publications, schools, and professional writers' groups. The most recent: My short story, "The Peterson Affair," won 7th place in the Mainstream/Literary Short Story category in the 71st Annual Writer's Digest Competition.

All of my published novels won or placed in various contests before they sold. My romantic comedy, HOUSEWIFE FOR RENT, was chosen as the Top Winner in the 1996 Silhouette Yours Truly contest. Did this wonderful win lead to a sale, fame, and fortune? Uh ... no. It led an editor's suggestion I write a new book based on the hero and the premise. I declined. The good news is that HOUSEWIFE FOR RENT made it into publication and is available from Hard Shell Word Factory.

MIDNIGHT INTENTIONS, won a 2002 EPPIE for Best Romantic Suspense Novel and a 2002 ERA award for Best Novella. These kudos were received for a self-published novel ... but not anymore. I sold it to Writer's Exchange E-publishing! Yay!
