I firmly believe intelligent people read romance -after all we all need an escape from running the world! This is the basis I use to write my historical romances - I write the page turners that I would like to read myself.

My whole life I have been torn between science and creativity, and qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1987. I currently work in a companion animal practice which is hugely rewarding but at times totally emotionally draining. It was as a means of escape from the more distressing side of life that I turned to reading and discovered a love of historical romance.
It was at a school reunion that the idea of writing my own fiction first occurred to me. Old class mates asked what I was up to and seemed to forget I am a vet! All they talked about was the stories I wrote at school and how they assumed I went on to be an author. Well the idea struck a chord and here I am...my first novel 'A Dead Man's Debt' accepted by Solstice! What a thrill.
