Nadine Vaughan is a Writer, Director, Producer and consulting Psychologist. In her capacity as a psychologist, Dr. Vaughan is licensed in three states; owns a psychological consulting firm; and taught college for 20 years. She is a published author, who recently adapted to the screen her novel “Native Land: Lost in the Mystery of Time” (2009). She is now the Executive Producer and Director for the feature film of the same name.
Other film credits include her work as the Florida Casting Director for “The Diary of Preston Plummer” (Release date: 2012); Associate Producer for “The Touch” as well as several short films. Between 1980 and 1990, Vaughan was a radio talk show host in N. California (KVMR); while her involvement in theatre includes performing a one-woman show as Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley; while writing, directing and producing “Living Theatre Company” productions. Historical accuracy for her theatrical and film projects is gleaned from her extensive travels into the Amazon jungle, Chile and the Scottish Highlands; from her involvement in Native American culture, and from the psyches of people she has known in depth through her psychological practice.
Vaughan’s latest novel “FireCat! The Legend of Amazon Sage” is in edit with plans to make it into a feature film after publication. Published author, movie producer, and owner of Native Land Productions and The Living Theatre Company , she recently worked as a casting consultant for "The Diary of Preston Plummer" (2010). In addition, Vaughan is a clinical psychologist in three states, a member of the American Psychological Association, and taught college for many years. In 2010, she developed "FilmAmelia.com", a local resource for filmmakers.
