The Surfing Handbook
"The Surfing Handbook is an online surf magazine with the goal of being something for surfers, by surfers. Travel reports, reviews, interviews with interesting people, project notes, stories, surf tips, and moreóitís all fair game. We try to stay away from industry content, although I canít say it wonít find its way in from time to time." - Hayley Gordon, Webmaster
My First Surfboard
My First Surfboard is the result of a facebook group of the same name created back in 2009 by a couple of aging surfers just sitting around talking about, yep, you guessed itÖtheir first surfboards.
Once the siteís creator, Marion Stratford, started the group on facebook, it took off immediately and now boasts more than 1500 members, all sharing the wonderful memories of the boards that are near and dear to their hearts, their initial keys to that wonderful passageway that led to a lifelong love affair with the sea.
The Surfing Examiner
Marion writes two pages on Examiner.com covering the sport of surfing.
One page is a local column for the Jacksonville Beach surf scene, the Jacksonville Surfing Examiner, and the other is a national column covering the sport on a variety of subjects, National Surfing Examiner. I encourage you to not only visit, but subscribe and comment, as well.
