I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona in a tiny house with four brothers, my mother and father. My parents escaped communist Romania just days before I was born.
My days consisted of playing pretend with my little brother; pretending to be the characters from the video games my older brothers always played, or from T.V. I admit that I don't remember exactly when my love for reading bloomed but I can tell you that I started school in English as a Second Language class, so it couldn't be the beginning. By the second grade, I was reading faster than the other kids. By the fourth grade, I was reading middle grade level. By middle school, I was reading some college level. My teachers were proud and encouraged me to continue with them but my heart had already set on YA fantasy...and it's still there.
I started writing my first book, "Zirconya: The Sage of Aluh'Nehn," when I was fourteen. My best friend Emilie and I had created the World together. A few months ago, "Zirconya" was contracted with Champagne Books and will be available as an ebook in June '11.
