I'm very much a confessional-style poet along the lines of Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton. I'm motivated by the sadness and emptiness I experience in the world, which is why most of my poetry is fairly dark and depressing. For prose, I tend to horror, mysteries, fantasy, and on occasion a blend of all three genres! I prefer writing novella length or shorter and have dabbled in flash fiction as well.
