The greatest feeling in the world is to receive payment and praise for something you love to do. The hard part is believing in yourself long enough to reach that stage.

Background Information

Maureen was born and raised in Michigan. Fascinated by her mother's country of birth, she travelled to Australia in 1983 where she met and married her husband, Peter. She now resides on a small farm near Geelong, Victoria with Peter, two labradors, two cats and a dozen chickens. She has two children in university: James and KatyAnne. Besides writing, Maureen enjoys fishing, teaching, walking, illustrating and music.

"Without the support and encouragement of Mary Stewart, I may never have persevered," Maureen says. "I've dedicated my personal website to Lady Stewart and am deeply grateful to the many reviewers and readers who have likened my style to her's. Writing is my gift and my joy and comes from my soul."
