Ruth J. Hartman is a published author as well as a dental hygienist. She and her husband live in rural Indiana.

Background Information

My writing for publication didn't happen until 2008. But I've always loved the written word. In our family, though, my siblings and I gravitated toward the medical/dental field. I've been a dental hygienist since 1984.

One day while cleaning someone's teeth, I wondered, what would happen if a hygienist fell in love with a patient?

An idea took hold. A story was born.

Since then most of my romance novels revolve around dentistry.

Completed course from the Institute of Writing for Children and Teenagers
