I grew up with a love of reading. My grandmother was my greatest influence. Whenever I'd sleep over at her house, she'd take me to a bookstore and we'd pick out a book, bring it home, and read. Today she's 85, owns a Kindle, and downloads a new book every other day! She's a feisty one, but still has all her marbles.
My love of writing began as a child. In school we'd be asked to write about a certain topic (2 page minimum) and I'd come up with these 8-10 page stories. My 8th grade teacher asked my permission to use my writings as an example for the high-schoolers. (It was a small private school, but I was thrilled!)
My favorite author was C.S. Lewis. I had the whole series.
I joined a writing community called FanStory and started writing short stories. I had so many wonderful comments, I thought I'd try and write my first book.
My husband encouraged me, and today my debut novel, IN MY DREAMS, is finally complete! It is a YA Supernatural Thriller.
Now I am working on the next. The first in a YA supernatural series.
I'm looking forward to what the future holds for me!
