My motivation for creating short stories, poems and novels is to call readers' attention to life's anomalies. J (Jack) Michael Donovan

Background Information

A graduate of Syracuse University, I enjoyed a successful career in Industrial Design and Marketing followed by a fulfilling second career as therapy director and counselor for addicts and their families at Oakleigh Center, Durham NC.

Those years of such personal experience in dealing with ruinous family situations provided me with unique appreciation and understanding of family love.  Add to that experience, a loving wife of 35 years, and a life-long appreciation for the Catholic Church.

Birth Place
Syracuse, NY USA
Additional Information

We are pleased to announce that Jack’s book “Synergy, a truly unusual love story” is available as an e-read and paperback through Amazon.com. It is also available as an e-reader through SynergEbooks.com, and BarnesandNoble.com. It is the fiction story of Father Sal and Sister Grace who struggle with a burning love for God, their Church and each other.

The author, J Michael Donovan, grew up in Syracuse NY in the last century, only child of Irish and German Catholic ‘drinkers.’ He still recalls family visits to an ‘Uncle’ priest where as the family partied in the Rectory, he and his cousins would create a play ‘Mass’ in the chapel. It is his earliest memory of a lasting fascination with the Church.
