I'm a S/B/F, Late 40's, and the mother of three sons, one daughter. I have 2 grandchildren, a 12 year old granddaughter and a 4 month grandson. They're my pride & joy! I was born in Kaufman county, a small country town called College Mound, but I've lived in Dallas since I was about 6 years old. I have many favorite poets, some old, some new. One of my favorite poems is "Wrap me in blankets of momentary winds",by Robert Littlebird. I am currently studying the Ancient Japanese poetry style, as well as Ancient Greek and Roman Writings, which is my favorite style of writing. My writing is influenced by Life & love: Love of God, people, family...And of course the romantic love of a passionate, gentle, and the love of a sensitive man! With it, a woman blossoms and blooms! I have no formal training in literature or writing. I simply write from experience and from my wild imagination! I have several personalities that I draw inspiration from. It's not a mental disorder!
It's based on the many senses we possess: The sense to feel love, pain, laughter, sadness, anger, regret, despair. The sense to see life in color, black and white, to see change, the past, present and future. The sense to hear songbirds, to smell the many scents, but we poets see, hear and feel in deeper color and more intensity. For instance, one may see a woman with lips as red as a rose. A poet sees lips as crimson as blood, as moist as rose petals kissed by the mornig dew
Nothing is simple with a writer! The more complex the material, the more we thrive on creating our own version of it!
