A poet, writer and translator from Bahrain, my first poetry collection was "Lover in the Era of Thirst". I published my second book of poetry, "Noise of Whisper", in 2003. The second was printed in Arabic, but it included an English translation of the work by myself. This work won first prize in the “Distinguished Book” competition for the year 2003. The competition is organized annually by the Ministry of Information in Bahrain. My third book "Alientation of Violets" was published in March 2010 and it is also a bilingual collection of poetry (Arabic/English) translated by myself. In 2007, I published “Pearl, Dreams of Shell - Anthology of Bahrain Contemporary Poetry" in USA. It is a collection of poetry for 29 modern poets from Bahrain compiled and translated by myself and is mainly distributed in USA and UK and can be found on Amazon.com. Many of my poems and other work have been published in Arabic newspapers, magazines and periodicals. I have also taken part in many poetry recitals in Bahrain and overseas. I translated many English and American poems, short stories and essays into Arabic, including the well-known “Van Gogh Letters” which I translated from English to Arabic. I also Translated "Nooran" novel, by Bahraini writer Farid Ramadan, as part of a joint graphic work with Jamal Abdul Rahim, a famous Bahraini artist. Some of my poems were translated into French and Russian as well.
Some of my poetry translated into a number of languages including French and Russian.
