Hail! I am Lauryl-Ashton, pen name Emylia Hawke, a seventeen-year-old young woman aspiring to become a published author. I love to write, plain and simple, and would prefer a successful career as an author to anything else. Sadly, writer's as successful as Stephen King or Robert Jordan do not climb the mountain easily, and are thus rarely so widely recognized. As insurance for this problematic affair, I intend to become a high school English teacher, so that I may write in my free time (and hopefully will also be published).
I hold sincere respect for the English language and the art of writing a good story. I have been honing my skills since I could write, though I will admit that not many good stories left my pen until a few years ago. I have hence been industriously scrutinizing my own work, collaborating with other online writers, and dictating better my story ideas onto paper and Microsoft Word before posting them online. I am as yet unpublished, if you have not already gathered that, but I hope to rectify that status quite soon.
I am professional in my writing and in casual conversation. I provide constructive criticism to those whose stories I find the time to read. I am an utter grammar Nazi as well, be warned. I also hope that you who read this deem my youthful scribbling fit enough to observe.
