Liz R. Newman holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, and a B.A. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism. Liz R. Newman worked as an intern and staff writer at KTVU Broadcasting Station in Oakland, California.

Her most recent work published was A Thin Line Between Motherhood and Martyrdom on Chic Mom Magazine in print and at www.chicmommagazine.com, The Irony of Good Intent in Our USA Magazine's Fall 2010 issue and a short story titled Flesh Bait in the hard copy horror anthology Under A Harvest Moon.
