Rominus Teaser 2006
In the summer of 2006, two young filmmakers set out to create a short teaser of Jonathan Amaret's spec script entitled "Rominus" in order to help pitch it to major studios in Hollywood. In less than two months, they were able to secure a budget of over $100,000, a distinguished crew of over 70 people and a full cast, including renowned Best Actress Academy Award winner Faye Dunaway and seven-time Emmy, five-time Golden Globe winner Ed Asner. Although Rominus was well received by studio execs, their five-year journey ultimately led to the script thrice being denied optioning due to its high budget and lack of an established fan following. In July of 2009, Creative House International Press, Inc. obtained a copy of the Rominus script and within days offered Amaret a book deal and an opportunity to author his story into a major novel for worldwide release. Amaret spent the next year and eight months working diligently on the book despite the fact that he had never before authored a major piece of literature. In the end, Rominus became something even Amaret had not envisioned, a profound journey into the ancient mysteries of the world, a record of the untold history of human civilization and a glimpse into the knowledge and teachings possessed only by the elite of the elite.
