A former commercial pilot and flight instructor, Len Varley is a passionate marine conservationist and activist. He is an affiliate of several international organizations including the Australian marine mammal rescue group ORRCA and is trained in whale stranding rescue procedures. Varley has now made two visits to Taiji, Japan and continues his work towards a resolution of the Japanese drive hunt issue and the capture of live dolphins.
Based in Perth, capital city of Western Australia, Len is a keen kayaker and is often out and about on the picturesque Swan river.
