When I was nine years old I asked my parents for a typewriter for Christmas. Santa didn't dissapoint and I was the proud recipient of a bright orange typewriter. I started wrting way back then and when I wasn;t writing I was spinning a yarn as my grandmother used to call it.
Writing stories was a thrill and I always dreamed of writing a book. I got married young had kids and spent the better part of twenty two years being a mother, a dutiful wife, someones, employee of the year and when I had a free moment I would dream and compose stories in my head.
After my divorce I found myself working hard raising my baby and wondering what I could do as a second job to try and support my daughters without spending additional time away from them. A very good friend of mine suggested writing, since it was what I loved to do and she felt I was incredible at it anyway.
Now, three and a half years later, I have penned three books. I am going the way of self publishing since my thrill is having readers getting enthralled with the story and I do not have time to wait on agents to decide if I am the next big thing. I will let the readers decide if my stories are worth sharing with the world. After all, the reader is the expert!
I consider it an honor everytime my books are read.
