Background Information

Skirmas (Skiz) Otonas Blitzkis

I was born on the East Coast 6 months after my parents immigrated to the US from Lithuania.

My Lithuanian Mother and Latvian Father were proud of their heritage and refused to allow people to alter my ethnic name until one of the guys on my soccer team in Jr. High who spoke with a lisp (who became a best friend) began calling me Skiz.

Having been born an American I feel very blessed.  I have been to the Baltic several times since the independence but I love my country, it’s movies, it’s friendly rural settings and it’s freedoms.

However, most American women, (as I have learned) the larger American cities and the political ineptitude and moral degeneracy (particularly of the last half century) of those who dictate, (yes dictate) this country could use some change.

My parents went back to their homeland several years after the independence.  I have never been big on espousing the Lithuanian origins and all of that.  I am not a “Lithuanian-American” and I have no reason to be ashamed of my heritage, I’m just an American and (despite the entropy) damn proud of it.

I found this site and decided to indulge myself with some of my more personal postulations and vent a little.  Thank you for your not commenting or sending messages on the lamentations posted here.
